Inhabiting the Inner Habitat

September 13 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

September 13, 2026 Week 2

Weekly Topic Title: Inhabiting the Inner Habitat

Affirmation: I love my body and respect the lessons it teaches me about my inner and outer worlds.

Reading: You are invited to notice how disconnection from your body has often been encouraged, especially through spiritual ideas that focus only on what is unseen or “heavenly.” When your attention is pulled away from your lived, physical experience, it becomes easier for real injustices to be ignored. A faith that dismisses the body can unintentionally support harm by asking you to look away from what is happening right now.

This does not mean you are asked to reject the spiritual realm. Instead, you are invited to remember that spirit and body are inseparable. Spirit is not distant or abstract—it lives in your breath, your bones, your history, and your daily life. The wisdom of those who came before you is not somewhere else; it is carried within you.

You were never meant to divide yourself. Spirit and flesh, belief and action, thought and expression belong together. You deserve a faith that loves the whole of you—your body, your story, your pain, and your joy—holding all of it as sacred and worthy of care.

Spiritual Point of View
You are invited to remember that you are not separate from the substance of the universe itself. As Ernest Holmes teaches, everything—from seeds and plants to people and planets—is formed from the same flowing Divine Substance. Your body is not an exception to this truth; it is the Universe expressing itself as you. AND
Yet many cultural systems—especially those shaped by white supremacy—have taught you to distrust or detach from your body. This isn’t about individual blame; it’s about recognizing a conditioning that asks you to ignore your intuition, your ancestral wisdom, and the living intelligence in your flesh. When you disconnect from your body, you don’t become more spiritual—you become less whole.

Your body is Spirit slowed into form. To reject it is to forget your Source. Your sensations, emotions, and instincts are not obstacles to awakening; they are pathways. Spirit speaks to you through feeling as much as through thought.
When you honour your body—listening to it, trusting it, caring for it—you remember your wholeness. Embodiment is not a distraction from Spirit; it is one of the clearest ways Spirit knows itself through you.
