Inhabiting Togetherness

September 6 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

September 6, 2026

Week 1

Weekly Topic Title: Inhabiting Togetherness

Affirmation: I honor embodied creation through my physical self.

Reading:
The creator of the cosmos chose to work through a body. To be grown, fed, and born, God placed faith in flesh—in Mary’s muscles, hormones, and blood. Before Christ’s body was broken, a woman’s body was stretched, wounded, and opened to bring hope into the world. That truth invites you to hold the body as sacred, not incidental.

You are a deeply material being. Bearing the image of God is not only spiritual; it is physical too. You may have heard the phrase, “You are a soul who has a body,” and while it sounds comforting, it can quietly teach you to neglect the body in pursuit of something “higher.” Many spiritual traditions have focused so much on heaven that they’ve treated the physical world as something to escape.

But what if holiness lives right here? What if living a fully spiritual life isn’t about leaving the body behind, but about honouring it fully?
Affirmation:
I affirm that heaven can be made right here, through my embodied life, my breath, and my presence in this world.

Adapted from- Riley, Cole Arthur. This Here Flesh: Spirituality, Liberation, and the Stories That Make Us. Convergent, 2022, p. 57-8. Kindle Edition.

Spiritual Point of View:

You are invited to honor embodied creation by remembering that your body is not separate from Spirit—it is one of Spirit’s most intimate expressions. As Cole Arthur Riley reminds you, the Divine chose embodiment. God trusted flesh, muscle, blood, and breath to bring love into the world. That tells you something sacred about your own physical form. Your body is not a problem to transcend; it is a place where holiness lives and moves.

You may have been taught, directly or indirectly, that spirituality means rising above the physical. Yet Science of Mind teaches something different. Ernest Holmes affirms that consciousness naturally takes form—that embodiment is not an accident, but a necessary expression of self-knowing Life. Your body is not less holy than your mind or spirit; it is an equal partner in the Triune Divine.

Your body is also a vibrational instrument. It responds to your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions, offering constant feedback about your alignment with Source. When you listen to it with care, appreciation, and presence, you allow energy to flow more freely.

This week, you are invited to release the false divide between spiritual and physical. As you treat your body with reverence, compassion, and respect, you align more fully with the truth that all of you—mind, body, and spirit—is sacred, worthy, and divinely made.
