I open my heart to growth

August 30 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Affirmation: I open my heart to growth through connection.

Reading:
“People are opting out of vital conversations about diversity and inclusivity because they fear looking wrong, saying something wrong, or being wrong. Choosing our own comfort over hard conversations is the epitome of privilege, and it corrodes trust and moves us away from meaningful and lasting change.”
Brown, Brené. “Dare to Lead: Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts.” Random House, 2018.p,88

Spiritual Point of View:

You are invited to remember, as Ernest Holmes teaches, that there is one Life and one God expressing through all of us. When you hold that awareness, collaboration and openness begin with seeing the divine presence in one another—including in moments of discomfort. Fear isn’t something you need to avoid or deny. It’s an invitation to deepen your trust in the One Life and to choose connection anyway. When you name your fears honestly and keep your heart open, you step into a higher consciousness where differences become sources of creativity rather than division.

Anger often shows up along the way. Anger is rarely the first emotion—it’s a protector sitting on top of hurt, fear, or grief. When anger is ignored or suppressed, it creates inner chaos. When it’s fully felt and understood, it becomes wisdom. From a Unity perspective, this is about directing emotional energy, not repressing it.

Anger signals you’re out of alignment with your Inner Being. You don’t force it away—you pause, breathe, and reach for thoughts that feel a little better. As your vibration softens, clarity returns. From this aligned place, anger becomes a data point, not a destination—fuel for courage, compassion, and meaningful change
