Grounded in love—even in difficult times July 26, 2026

Affirmation: I create bridges wherever I go.
Reading:
You may find yourself in a season when the weight of the world feels especially heavy. In Jewish tradition, the 17th of Tammuz begins a period of mourning that leads to Tisha b’Av, remembering the destruction of the Temples in Jerusalem. The deeper teaching is not only historical—it is spiritual. It reminds you that when hatred becomes the guiding force in a community, the felt sense of the Divine can fade, leaving hearts and systems vulnerable.

You may notice how anger can feel energizing or even justified in the face of injustice. Yet when hatred takes root in your body and guides your actions, it ultimately deepens harm. One gentle practice offered during this time is praying with the news. When a story stirs rage or grief, you pause and turn your attention toward those who are suffering, holding them in prayer for healing and care.

This practice allows anger and sorrow without letting them harden your heart. It helps you remain connected, compassionate, and grounded in love—even in difficult times.

Spiritual Point of View:
When you really take in what Ernest Holmes is pointing to, it becomes empowering rather than abstract. You’re not stuck repeating the past just because it happened. The past may inform where you are, but it doesn’t get to decide where you’re going. The moment you choose—intentionally—to think, feel, or act differently, you begin a new chain of causation. And here’s the good news: the same power that once created limitation is the very power that can now create freedom.

This is about alignment. As you shift your thoughts and emotions, you shift your vibration—and different outcomes naturally follow. You don’t have to fix the whole world at once. You start by valuing all of who you are, including the parts that may have been excluded or judged.

Creating a world that works for everyone begins inside you. As you ask better questions—who’s included, who’s missing, what really works—you raise your own frequency. And as more people do that, a more just, compassionate, and inclusive world doesn’t have to be forced. It unfolds naturally, one aligned choice at a time.
