I came to Unity in 2003 in Mississauga. I was active in that church as a greeter, counter, board member and president. I also coordinated a number of events.
When I first started at Unity, I was very appreciative of the community and the learning really resonated with me. Some people I met there are still my very good friends. I felt like I had “lost myself”, and the messages and workshops were like great therapy to find myself once again. I enjoy the weekly messages, as they help to remind me who I am, a Child of God. New Thought had been introduced to me when I was younger but it wasn’t until my father actually took me to a service, that I then joined.
I try to remember that –
I am the place where God shows up!
