Celebrating Life as Source
January 29, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
This One Life is my life right now, and I celebrate it out loud!
It’s time to surrender to the Bigger Idea of Life. It’s time for us to move from struggle into celebration. Today we live in the flow, and the joy of simply being alive surrounds us.
We have spent this month reminding ourselves of who we are, through some basic spiritual ideas. Today is our final step – and it’s the most important one of all. We prepare ourselves to surrender into our life – and into this year. What if we were to surrender to Spirit/Source Itself entirely? This is what it takes to Live Out Loud! When we surrender our facades, masks, personas, fears, and doubts, we free ourselves to live out loud, bolding and in celebration. Every day becomes a day to celebrate the simplicity and the beauty of life itself.
Ernest Holmes in his essay The Great Surrender talks about surrender as “losing our lives”. What he means is we release and let go of the aspects of our lives holding us back from living with Spirit at the center.
Most people think the word surrender is something negative: giving up, losing, being humiliated, or being controlled or trapped. In a spiritual context, surrender means to give up everything that no longer serves you. Spiritual surrender is to stop struggling against “what is” and embrace the idea of something better unfolding from the Source within.
Surrender can be a wonderful, positive feeling you have when you simply let go, a sense of relief and freedom. It’s releasing all limitations, expanding beyond your usual ways of doing and being, and opening to infinite possibilities. It’s opening up to your highest and best outcomes.
When you surrender spiritually, you stop forcing solutions on situations you can’t control and instead trust and have faith that there is a Divine force taking care of everything in the best way for all concerned.
We tend to define life by external conditions. As spiritual seekers, we know life is an internal experience. In remembering our oneness with the One Mind, we know Life is eternal –the external objects and objections can be changed by changing our thoughts. We can live our best lives when we choose harmony with the Divine that is always with us, ready to say YES.
