Art as a Spiritual Practice Workshops @ Unity

Hi Friends!

I am so excited that your interest in art has brought you here! My belief is that everyone is an artist. If you have a desire to create, you can do it, and I’m here to help. Together we’ll learn to look at art a little differently by focusing on the process along with the product. Making art should be fun, uplifting, and relaxing, and that’s what we’re gonna do together!

Enjoy  art techniques using different  methods to create stunning results. No previous experience required.  Typically, these sessions are kept small, with around 6 students per class, ensuring that everyone gets personalized attention and guidance.

In these workshops, you will use different techniques for the final look of your artwork. These small gatherings allow you to share ideas, experiences, and even some laughs, with like minded people.

We demonstrate new techniques through online resources and video tutorials, giving you an all-round learning experience. These digital tools inspire further exploration in fluid art.

Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, these workshops offer an easy and fun, hands-on way to explore your creativity and connect with others who share your desire to play with fluid art.

Gelli Printing workshop

Join Marcia and Rev Anne in this three week exploration into gel printing. Have fun with Gel Printing using acrylics, stencils, found objects.

WHAT IS GEL PRINTING

Gel printing or gelli printing is a form of art to make prints called monoprinting. There is a new thing called a gelli plate, which is a soft silicone plate that allows you create beautiful art prints without a printing press.

Your gel prints can be more than just artwork. You can use them in many different projects to give a unique touch! Try using your gel prints to make special greeting cards, add to scrapbook ideas, or create decorative papers for bookbinding.

You can also cut them into shapes to make unique jewelry, coasters, or magnets. Think about using your gel prints in mixed media projects. You can add layers of paint, ink, stencils, and collage elements for a truly personal piece.

There are countless ways to be creative with your gel prints! Enjoy the flexibility of this medium. Don’t be afraid to try new combinations and ideas. You will be surprised by what you can make!
