A white stone ceremony is a Unity practice that involves writing down a word that comes to mind during meditation. The word is chosen by the participant and is meant to have special significance throughout the year.

ABOUT

As you hold your white stone in your hand, know that you are starting with a clean slate.  In this ceremony, we are doing two things.  We are choosing our white stones and we are also writing on the stone a new name or word for ourselves.
The white stone is an ancient ritual.  Back in the time when Jesus was teaching and someone served time in prison or bondage of any kind, they were given a white stone when they were released.  Each of us comes from bondage today, and we are being given a white stone to signify our freedom.

White metaphysically represents Joy, Victory, and Purification.
In this white stone, or purified state of consciousness we know that the Universe and I are one.
Are you ready to consciously surrender, letting go of what no longer serves you—that which you released in the burning bowl last Sunday?
Prayer
As I surrender and allow Spirit to speak to me in the Silence, I make space for unlimited possibilities to become manifest in my life.  In creating a space in my consciousness, I open myself to unlimited possibilities and unlimited potential.
And so I open to consciously be aware of Spirit in my heart and mind.  As I sit in the Silence with Spirit, new ideas come to me- ideas of something new, a new title, a new quality or word that Spirit is offering to express through me.  I release all my past thinking for a few minutes of rest and invite and allow Spirit’s guidance in me to come through.  I give myself permission to know I have a new quality, a new name, a new word or phrase.
I relax into the Loving Presence, feeling the Oneness, and receive whatever word, or name has come to me.
In the stillness I allow Spirit to express through me and as me.  As I hold the white stone in my hand, I see it as a symbol of new possibilities. I see it as a symbol of who I have become, who I am becoming, and of who I would like to become.
I feel the presence of Source and know my Oneness.  I know my “I AMness” with Source.  I feel the loving presence of Spirit as it surrounds and supports me.  I know right now I am safe and secure.  I am loved and supported by the Presence.

Anytime you look at your white stone, realize that you have the gift of choice; the gift to live differently, to live a more fulfilling life, to begin anew, to connect with Spirit, and to follow the inner guidance for your best life.
Choose a sense of gratitude as you receive your new name or quality.  Along with it comes the power and guidance to achieve all that you desire. This is your new name, your new consciousness.  See it, claim it, accept it.  You are on the path to greater insights, and a deeper awareness of the Presence of Spirit as you. 

Carry this white stone as a reminder of that promise.
