April 14 Topic Title: The Other In Love
April 14 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
We are reflections of each other. As we cultivate gentleness for ourselves, we begin to recognize Love expressing Itself as the others in our lives.
All of my relationships are Love in form.
Today’s Topic: People are lovely when they are kind, loving, and just how/what you want them to be. And they are also fickle, opinionated, and judgmental. They just can’t help themselves. That’s when everything gets screwed up, right? We want to blame others for things going wrong, when in fact, it’s our judgments of others that get in the way. As you apply gentleness to your interactions with others, you can truly allow them to be their gentle selves. And from that place, you can both make clearer decisions for your own lives.
Unity Point of View: We are One. One Energy in a myriad of forms. Individualized expressions of the Divine. Every one of us is sacred and holy. The other person, place, or thing is none other than the expression of Love Itself. For no one and nothing is for us or against us. It all simply is.
“We may talk about the wisdom of God, but the love of God must be felt in the heart. It cannot be described, and one who has not felt it can have no concept of it from the descriptions of others. But the more we talk about love, the stronger it grows in the consciousness, and if we persist in thinking loving thoughts and speaking loving words, we are sure to bring into our experience the feeling of that great love that is beyond description—the very love of God. It is popularly taught and believed that there is but one love; that God is love and that all love is from Him, hence that all love is God’s love. Love is a divine principle and man can know it in its purity by touching it at its fountainhead. There it is not tinged in any way by man’s formative thought but flows forth a pure, pellucid stream of infinite ecstasy. It has no consciousness of good or evil, pure or impure, but pours itself out in great oceans of living magnetic power, to be used by whosoever will.” Charles Fillmore

- …the moment you develop a sense of concern for others, you realize that, just like ourselves, they also want happiness; they also want satisfaction. ~ The Dalai Lama – The Wisdom of Forgiveness, p166
