Many of us learned early in life to limit our emotions—being told not to be too sad\, too upset\, or even too joyful. Over time\, this conditioning narrows our emotional range. Anger is one of the emotions most often suppressed\, leaving many people unsure how to express it in healthy ways or distinguish between anger that serves and anger that harms. \nAnger that serves is like a flame: it moves energy forward\, brings clarity\, and dissipates once it is acknowledged. Toxic anger is different. It settles in the body\, cycling without release\, and no amount of expression seems to relieve it. In truth\, toxic anger isn’t anger at all—it is unresolved grief\, built from unexpressed feelings and unmet needs\, both personal and inherited. \nWhen individuals and communities are denied space to grieve\, this grief accumulates. Emotion is energy—and when it goes unmanaged or unexpressed\, it will find its own outlet\, often in ways that create confusion or inner conflict. From a Unity\, your anger isn’t a problem to be fixed; its information inviting your awareness. It’s a signal that something you value matters deeply to you.\nWhen you pause and listen\, rather than react or suppress\, anger can become fuel for clarity\, truth-telling\, and healthy boundaries. Charles Fillmore would say that your emotions are spiritual energy meant to be directed through wisdom and love. When they’re denied\, they settle into the subconscious and show up later as tension or imbalance. When they’re consciously aligned with Spirit\, they become instruments of healing.\nWhat you don’t feel doesn’t disappear—it gets stored. Healing comes when you allow yourself to feel honestly and gently. \nAnger shows up when you’re out of alignment with your Inner Being. You don’t force it away; you soften it by reaching for better-feeling thoughts.
